Duos 2023
Our members teamed up in pairs to make unique, creative presentations. These presentations were about topics that we found both interesting and prominent to our society.
DASOM YOU AND SOYOON LEE'S DUO
-
Dasom You: With Soyoon Lee, we commented our thoughts in the stereotype that graduating from a prestige university will lead you to a better life. Together, we emphasized how you have one life, and should spend it the way you want to instead of living for others. The line of success should be defined in your own way.
-
Soyoon Lee: My TED Duo with Dasom was about the purpose of studying.

YOUJIN SOHN AND JUNHYEOK LEE'S DUO

-
Youjin Sohn: As part of the TED Duo activity, our group wanted our talk to be chill and casual. So we started the talk by talking about the new anime that was trending and arranged our lines just like how we would talk normally. Then, we moved on to talking about how people who like anime are often portrayed in our society, and then talked about the problem of the people who decide to isolate themselves.
-
Junhyeok Lee: In TED Duo, my partner and I focused on amines and their effects because both were interested in amines, and world trends also concentrated on amines. We talked about how the amine influences people in great and bad ways. For instance a nice way, people can relax their tired minds with a kind amine. On the other hand, amines can make people addicted to them and hamper their daily lives. Besides, we discussed the question ‘What is the role of amine in this society?’ for considering the connection between amine and people.
ELLA HA AND HENRY KIM'S DUO
-
Ella Ha: Me and my TED Duo partner discussed about ‘Memory Correction’, a phenomenon that manipulates our memory and makes us feel nostalgic about the past. We shared our personal experiences regarding this phenomenon, and made conclusions by mentioning the good and bad of the effect.
-
Henry Kim: TED Duo was about a common experience that everybody shares. My groupmate and I talked about ‘memory correction’. It’s our brain’s tendency to think about the past in a positive way; more positive than it actually was. In the conversation, I was able to try out ways to share information and opinion.
